BENEFITS OF SEO

Increasing Search Engine Rank
For the most part, people find your business online via search engines. They visit their favorite one, most often Google, they type in their query, and up pops some results. These results are based on a finely and frequently tuned algorithm which is supposed to give the user exactly what they’re looking for and you want your business’s online presence to be geared towards speaking to that algorithm in a way that is pleasing. In other words: YOU WANT TO RANK HIGH ON THAT LIST! Being on the first page of a search engine is a near must to have any up of attaining organic search traffic. If you are on that first page, and people are search frequently for a term which you rank well for, then guess what……those people are likely to become your customers.
Increasing Company Awareness
This can be said many ways: improving brand awareness, bolstering brand presence or strengthening your business profile. Said another way: you want people to know that your company is significant and worthy of consideration and if you’re ranked on the second page (or worse) of the search results then you already look like you don’t know hat you’re doing. SEO puts the word out there. It is an intentional strategy to increase your influence on the subjects in which you choose to do business and show people that your business is a valid option in the market.
Attract New Customers
Being ranked near the top of search engine results has an implied degree of credibility. Anyone can buy ads on Google or other sources. When somebody types a query into a search engine and your business is returned near the top, the sale is yours to lose. You’ve done the hard part. Now we just have to seal the deal!
New business is all about being top of mind when the time is right and to do that you have to be there. You have to be where people are looking and you have to be there before people start looking. This way, when they start looking they’re remember you!
Most businesses are aware that marketing their services is a good idea to generate new business. However, many businesses are not taking advantage of online opportunities. People willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars on print campaigns, but sometimes balk at spending a few thousand on online marketing. Having a website which ranks well in search engines can provide results which are much more long lasting than a newspaper add, billboard or mailer campaign. At minimum, businesses should be trying to cover all bases and have a presence in the options which have the furthest reach.
